You can clear custom and immigration or with the “gendarme” in the Marquesas Islands (Atuona in Hiva Oa, Taiohae in Nuku Hiva), in Tahiti (Papeete) and in the Leewards Islands (Bora bora and Raiatea).
Up to now your ship can stay in the French Polynesia, without being cleared and pay duties and import taxes, for a maximum period of 24 consecutive months. Beyond this limit, your ship must leave the waters of French Polynesia for at least 6 month to re enter again.
